PSHCE is central to our school ethos, supporting children in their development and underpinning learning. Through cross curricular and direct teaching our PSHCE curriculum encourages students to become healthy, independant and responsible members of society. We encourage students to play a positive role in contributing to the life of the school and the wider community, which helps develop their sense of self-worth. We teach them how society is organised and governed. We ensure that they experience the process of democracy in school through class discussions and debates and through elected representatives. We teach them about rights and responsibilities. They learn what it is to be a positive member of a diverse multicultural society
