On Sat 17th December 10 of our Year 12 students took part in a selection event in London to be Young Games Makers for the Paralympic Games.

After a day of assessment at Canary Wharf we found out just before Christmas that they have been successful! Their role will involve ‘kit carrying’ for the athletes which means they will be track side within the stadium.

There were teams from all over the UK in the selection process and we're really proud of them for getting through! Congratulations to the following students:

We said goodbye to 2 members of our teaching staff at the end of term as Mrs Jones (Religious Studies) retired and Mr Gordon (Music) left to pursue a career change. They leave with our best wishes for the future.

We're delighted to have secured 2 high quality replacements as Mr McDermott (RS) and Mr Jolliffe (Music) join us until the end of the school year.
